Day 6

Okay, so this day was pretty darn crazy!
First off, we had a pretty late start. Everyone was really tired from the exhausting week in London and wanted to get some rest, aside from Brandon. Basically, all of the girls slept in until like 10 haha. I went downstairs about an hour earlier than everyone else and had a free breakfast...although I ended up finding out that it wasn't free. Oh well! Once everyone was finally awake and had grabbed some bread downstairs, we all headed to the station and took the train into Paris.
Afterwards, we decided to head straight for the Opera House since that was Kris' number 1 spot she wanted to visit. Once we exited the train at the station, however, we got a little taste of the opera early on since there was a guy singing in the train station!
After we finally got out of the underground, we happened upon the Place de la Bastille. It turned out there was a super competitive rugby match going on during the exact same time, however, so it got pretty crazy. We then decided to grab some brunch in Paris (for our first actual meal there) and sat down at this nice little cafe.

We figured out that we were actually at the wrong opera place and that we wanted to go to Opera de Paris Garnier. We figured we would head over to the little island in the middle of Paris and check out the cathedrals there, so that's where we decided to go. On the train ride there, there was a group of French rappers and musicians who played during the entire ride, which was pretty awesome. We finally arrived and first headed to see Sainte-Chapelle, which was amazingly beautiful inside.

Afterwards, we headed over to Notre-Dame and was actually there for the 200th anniversary!

After spending some time at Notre-Dame, we looked around for souvenirs in the surrounding area before heading on the long trek to Versailles! Yes, Versailles, the place of stories and King Louie XVI.

We then headed to the actual Opera House and, after finding out it was closed until tomorrow, went out for dinner to a nice little fancy place.

I won't go into too many details about what happened after, but we basically missed the last train and got lost in the sketchiest part of the outskirts of Paris trying to find our place for 3 hours....oh well, it was crazy and fun!
