Today was both a crappy day and a good day. After waking up, my roomy Nate and I found out that the fridge had stopped working overnight...and we already had it stocked with about two weeks worth of food. We also got up around 7 and thus only got 3-4 hours of sleep each. Today was also the first day of class and so we both left at around 8:35 and barely managed to catch up to a group of students headed towards the classrooms we're studying in. The city is crazy here - it's so hard to find where you're going! After getting to class and the craziness of figuring out who is in what class to start, I had Dr. Foy's class: Culture/Society of England, Ireland and Scotland. We had our very first quiz and it was HORRIBLE. The reading was all about science and, like Parker, I'm pretty darn sure I did crappy on it. Then came Dalton's class, which was pretty easy - I even participated a little bit! After classes ended, we had about a 2 hour break where I went with Parker and Dylan to go and grab a bite to eat. Dylan had to get some money from the bank first, which took forever, but he finally joined us at a nice little place. Parker and I both had a sandwich thing I believe along with a salad, and Dylan had a badass pie-thing. We then hurried our asses back to Atlantic House and got there just on time to leave on a LONG walking tour through the parks of London. I'm not going to talk about the walking tour that much aside from the fact that Kean got scared of a bear-dog, the parks were amazingly beautiful, and that I got to walk and talk with a few new people and get to know them a little bit. After the walking tour, we ended up at the National Gallery. I met up with a few guys (Edward, Jacob, Paul and someone else) and we proceeded to explore the gallery for an entire 15 minutes. We then decided to just head back, got lost, decided we wanted ice-cream, got lost again, and then took the tube back to our stop. Right after getting off, we noticed an ice cream place literally right next to the station...conveniently. Paul left us and the rest of us entered the shop, ordered gellato/ice-cream/whatever-it-was and sat down on the chill second floor to eat and relax. We then headed back to our rooms to read Foy's dreaded readings before bed. Edward and I procrastinated and then he came over and made eggs for us since I can't cook - they were delicious. After that, Nate came back and I finished reading for the night. He decided to Skype with his girlfriend on my laptop and I could hear everything they said (they didn't say anything inappropriate, their conversation was actually pretty hilarious) and we both finally crashed around 2. Only 3 days in and it already feels like a week has passed by!
